I’ve always been (and still am) a heavy daydreamer. I moved around quite a bit growing up and looking back at each of these places, I’m finding that daydreaming was a big part of my experience living there. My mind would turn the mundane into magic or the growing pains into an A24 movie. A Cinematic Universe: Season 1 is the first installation of the A Cinematic Universe series I created to combine my actual world with what often feels like my equally real world of daydreams. Some records are more byproducts of the physical world than daydreams, and some records are the exact opposite. However, more often than not, it’s usually some strange combination of the two. This new reality created by the meshing of two other realities is, I guess, my cinematic universe.
